CBP Canine Program Aids Government of Mexico

DHS Secretary Napolitano Visits Southwest Border
Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano visited the Bridge of the Americas at the El Paso port of entry on Wednesday, April 15. She was joined by senior CBP managers from headquarters as well as local CBP managers from OFO, OBP and AMO. El Paso DFO Ana Hinojosa and Port Director William Molaski led the Secretary on a brief tour which included observation of a southbound enforcement operation targeting unreported currency, arms and ammunition smuggling, and other export violations. Rio Grande Flooding Closes Presidio Port; Officers Aid Repair Efforts

Ed Kwas: U.S. Customs Service Manager and Innovator
Edward F. Kwas, 69, a long time U.S. Customs Service employee and manager who had held several of the agency's highest positions died July 9 at his son's home in Ellicott City, Md., after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer.
